CryoablationCryoablation is a technology that is used to treat benign tumors of the breast. The process works by engulfing benign tumors in an ice ball. The procedure is FDA approved and is now available at St. John Health by Dr. Linda Dubay, a surgeon who specializes in breast care. There is now another option for these benign lumps. Cryoablation uses a probe to freeze these tumors causing cell damage and break down, thereby destroying the fibroadenoma and preventing growth.
