About This Event

Cancer impacts all of us in some way or another. According to the American Cancer Society, one in four deaths in the United States is due to cancer. Francesco Lucarelli's mother died of breast cancer in 2001 after a 2½ -year battle. On February 17, 2008, Francesco will begin his climb of Mt. Aconcagua to raise funds to make MRI-guided breast biopsy available to patients to enhance the detection of breast cancer. The summit is 22,841 feet-the second highest of the "seven summits" of the world!  You can make a donation in any amount or pledge for every thousand feet he climbs (with ascent and descent, that is 46,000 feet).
