Cardiac Care
St. John River District Hospital provides care for cardiac patients in its ER, Intensive/Cardiac Care Unit (I/CCU) and its Telemetry Unit.
Many cardiac patients enter the hospital through the Emergency Department. Renovated in 1998, the ER is equipped with four state-of-the-art cardiac monitors. As a member of the St. John Health System Cardiovascular Institute, the St. John River District Hospital ER is only a phone call away from the vast cardiac resources of the St. John Health System.
The I/CCU provides state-of-the-art care for heart attack patients and others who need intensive nursing services. The Telemetry Unit also provides cardiac monitoring for its patients, but at a less intensive level of care than the I/CCU.
