What is the Diversity Supplier Program?
The minority purchasing program was established at St. John Health (SJH) in 1995. Since that time, St. John Health has developed a database of Minority Business Enterprises and Woman-Owned Enterprises. Our efforts in supplier diversity have been recognized four times by the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC). Throughout St. John Health, supplier diversity is a reflection of our Values and the health system's desire to sustain and improve the physical, spiritual and economic health of the communities we serve.
Vendor Profile is first step
St. John Health Material Management/Purchasing invites minority-owned and woman-owned businesses to submit proposals and bids in accordance with the prudent buyers principles for which they are qualified.
The first step to being included in our diversity supplier program is to complete the Supplier Diversity Vendor Profile. Submitting a vendor profile is not a guarantee that your company will be awarded specific contracts/purchases.
The purpose of our vendor profile is to place businesses into the St. John Health supplier diversity database. This profile also enables us to locate the appropriate contact for your company, as well as to supply our buyers with basic information about your company. We ask that you include any material (brochures, certifications, etc.) when returning the form. Once your profile has been received the following steps will be taken:

The profile will be reviewed and placed in the SJH minority vendor database.

The information will be forwarded to the appropriate SJH buyer.

If there is an opportunity for the service or commodity that your company offers, SJH will notify you.

If there is no need for your product or service at the time it is submitted, your information will remain in our database for future requests.

If you wish to follow up at any time, we ask that this be done on a quarterly basis.
