Community Survivorship Resources and Infrastructure

The community infrastructure for cancer patients in this age group is fragmented. Some community groups provide support services, but not in a coordinated fashion. The AYA program will provide a framework for better collaboration with support groups such as: TLC – Teens Living with Cancer; Kids Kicking Cancer, Gilda’s Club and others. The educational component of our program will help instill a positive attitude among patients and assist them in planning for their future as cancer survivors.
