The Supportive Care team provides services to children and families affected with life-limiting conditions. These include but are not limited to: cancer, hematological conditions such as sickle cell disease and hemophilia, neurological disorders, complex congenital anomalies, neonatal and prenatal disorders, metabolic and infectious conditions.
Services include:
Holistic care of the child
Acute pain and chronic pain management
Facilitation in decision-making, communication and care planning
Support of the family
End of life care
Grief and bereavement
Members of the Supportive Care Team include psychologists, medical social workers, child life specialists, music therapists, case managers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, chaplain and hospice nurses. The Healing Arts Center provides services such as Reiki, reflexology and massage.
