Most patients who go to the Emergency Center (EC) at St. John Hospital and Medical Center are in pain, anxious, and have difficult health concerns. With our renovation, we’ve doubled the size of the EC so that all treatment rooms are private (more than 70 in all!) Other patient amenities include:
- 24/7 valet service. Valet service is now available at our EC entrance, to allow family members to help their loved ones enter the EC without worrying about where to park their vehicle.
- Option to receive discharge prescriptions filled before leaving the Emergency Center (during Pharmacy regular hours).
- Enhanced communication and assistance with personal care needs (blankets, water, etc.) from our Guest Relations associates. We have a group of associates dedicated to your comfort needs while in the Emergency Center. Since they’ve been part of our Emergency Center, patient satisfaction scores have improved.
- Separate ambulatory and EC entrances help to give critical patients more privacy.
- A dedicated pediatric treatment and waiting area, designed to give children the special attention they need.
