The program receives its primary direction from Residency Program Chairman, David Markel, M.D., and Residency Program Director, Ralph Blasier, M.D., J.D. Dr. Markel serves as Chairman of this corporation whose membership comprises the faculty leadership plus the Chief Financial Officer of the DMC (Benjamin Carter), the President of the DMC Surgery Hospital (Mike Lacusta), and the Vice President for Surgical Services for Providence Hospital (John O’Malley).
