Salary

Residents and interns will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. The annual salary is reviewed each year. Current annual salaries:

OGME-1: $39,208.75
OGME-2: $40,856.09
OGME-3: $41,986.50
OGME-4: $43,278.39
OGME-5: $44,570.30

Benefits

Housestaff will receive health, dental, life and disability benefits in accordance with those provided by the St. John Health System.

Vacations

In accordance with AOA Residency Guidelines. Interns and Residents are allowed a maximum of fifteen (15) days of vacation. At the discretion of the Program Director and the Department of Medical Education five (5) additional days of sick/personal time may be granted. Prior approval must be secured. Any additional time off must be made up at the end of the academic year prior to advancing to the next year of training.

Vacation requests must be placed with the Office of Medical Education at least one month in advance of requested time off. Vacation requests are not considered valid unless the Request for Time Off form is completed including the signatures of the Program Director, attending physician of the service the resident is assigned to during the dates requested, the Chief Intern or Chief Resident and the Director of Medical Education. One week vacation will be assigned during the Christmas/New Year Holiday. The Department of Medical Education will work with you to schedule your remaining vacation weeks.

Note: No vacations will be given during the month of July, the last two weeks of June or during ICU/CCU rotation. In addition, no vacation will be granted during out rotations.
