Mindfulness Meditation“I thought I was going to get a course in relaxation, but what I found was a way to live my life in a more meaningful way.” 

Mindfulness Meditation is a way of focusing one's attention in the present moment. These techniques are taught to be used throughout the day, focusing on:

  • Reducing stress and anxiety
  • Dealing with troublesome thoughts and situations
  • Focusing energy on the most important aspects of living.

The courses meet weekly for six weeks and may be covered by medical insurance. Courses are directed by Howard Schubiner, MD.  Dr. Schubiner has studied meditative practices for more than 25 years, and has studied with meditation expert Jon Kabat-Zinn.
