Bernard M. Degnan, MD

Dr. Degnan is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. He graduated from Harvard University and Georgetown University Medical School. He completed his Pediatric residency at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center and a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He
also completed a 10-year military career in the U.S. Army. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association. He has a special interest in diabetes treatment and prevention, insulin pump therapy and puberty disorders. He was named one the area?s Top Docs by Hour Detroit magazine in 2008.

David J. Transue, MD

Dr. Transue is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology and is the Section Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, Michigan. His postgraduate training included a rotating internship at St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo, Ohio; Pediatric residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan; and Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association and The Endocinre Society. He has been a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Advisory Council to the Michigan Department of Health Newborn Screening Program. In 2004,2005 and 2008 Dr. Transue was recognized as a top pediatric endocrinologist by Hour magazine in its "Top Doc" survey.
