Patients typically have a much faster recovery. Dr. Bono believes that surgery is the last resort for the treatment of spinal disorders, especially when fusion is required. He believes in working with the patient's preference, lifestyle and the involvement of the family in the decision making process. His specialty is in complex spine surgery, including adult and pediatric spinal disorders. Most spinal disorders are degenerative, pediatric scoliosis is relatively uncommon. His year of fellowship at the New York Hospital for joint diseases had adequately prepared him to deal with this condition.

Dr. Claybrooks' specialty is complex spine surgery, including adult and pediatric spinal disorders. Dr. Claybrooks trained under the supervision of both neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons in his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he gained insight in the surgical treatment of complex spine disorders. Dr. Roderick Claybrooks was chosen by the "Guide to Top Orthopedists" in 2007. Our practice is a multi-disciplinary group of Neurosurgical and Orthopedic Spine Specialists, taking the advantage of the different approaches of two specialties. The spine conditions we manage include degenerative, trauma, infection, tumor, inflammatory and deformity - adult and pediatric. Our comprehensive spine expertise includes extensive adult spine revisions, pediatric scoliosis reconstruction and minimally invasive percutaneous surgery. We are an expanding four-physician group with a high volume spine practice of over 800 spine cases per year. Growth of the surrounding area has also led to the addition of satellite clinics in both Novi Providence Part and Oakwood Dearborn. At present, we are seeing a large volume of patients from areas serviced by the St. John Health System. It is our goal to bring the patients closer to home in order to improve their quality of care. Therefore, it is our intention to stablish a presence in the areas serviced by the St. John Health System. Apart from surgical and clinical excellence, we pursue an evidence-based practice with a commitment to patient education, outcome research, and customer satisfaction.
