Ahmad Azar, MD
Dr. Azar is board certified in Pediatrics. He graduated from the University of Tabriz, School of Medicine in Iran. He completed his residency at Children's Hospital of Michigan and Wayne State University, both in Detroit, Michigan. He did an internship at Mercy and Timken Hospital in Canton, Ohio and a fellowship at St John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Detroit Pediatric Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Michigan State Medical Society and the Wayne County Medical Society.

Mark Decco, MD
Dr. Decco is board certified in Pediatrics and Allergy and Immunology. He graduated from University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah and his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is a member of the American Academy and College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Michigan Allergy Society and the Michigan State Medical Society. Dr. Decco was named by his peers as one of the area's top pediatric allergists in Hour Detroit magazine's 2005 "Top Docs" ranking.

Dr. Gappy is a board-certified pediatrician working at our Lakeview offices in Macomb and St. Clair Shores. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, member of the American Medical Association, has served on the Quality Assurance Committee for the Department of Pediatrics at St. John Hospital, and is an instructor for newborn parenting classes at St. John Hospital. Dr. Gappy graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at St. John Hospital in 2006. He has a special interest in: asthma, allergies, infant/adolescent care and sports medicine. Dr. Gappy is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has hospital privileges at St. John Hospital in Detroit and Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe. Hernando Lyons, MD
Dr. Lyons is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology and is the section chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He graduated from Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia. He completed his Pediatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami School of Medicine, Miami, Florida and a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Children?s Hospital, State University of New York in Buffalo, New York. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. He has clinical experience with the diagnosis and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, chronic diarrhea, chronic constipation, inflammatory bowel disease, recurrent abdominal pain, peptic ulcer disease, pancreatitis, malabsorption syndrome, chronic hepatitis, liver failure and intestinal polyposis syndromes. He performs esophagogastroduodenoscopy with biopsy, full colonoscopy with biopsy, flexible sigmoidoscopy with biopsy, polypectomy, liver biopsy, pH probe monitoring of the esophagus, lactose breath hydrogent test, sclerotherapy, esophageal variceal banding, esophageal manometry and rectal suction biopsy. Dr. Lyons was named one of the area's top pediatric gastrointestinal specialists by Hour Detroit magazine in its 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 Top Doc survey. Robert McGahey, MD
Dr. Robert McGahey graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor's Degree in biology. He also attended medical school at Wayne State and graduated in 2003. He completed his pediatric residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in 2006. He worked in academic medicine for three years before joining Cornerstone Lakeview Pediatrics in April 2009. He is board certified in general pediatrics and has special interest in asthma and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physician Executives. Margaret Pierron, MD
Dr. M. Michelle Pierron earned her bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in 1975 and her M.D. from Wayne State School of Medicine in 1979. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Pierron is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been with Lakeview Pediatrics since 1983. She is currently the chairperson of the Cornerstone Health Services Quality Assurance Committee, and has special interests in school health and pediatric telephone triage medicine. Dr. Pierron resides with her husband and three children in Grosse Pointe Woods. Sheila Rao, MD


Mohammad Saberi, MD
Dr. Saberi is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology. Dr. Saberi is the current Section Chief of Pediatric Nephrology at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He graduated from the University of Tehran Medical School in Iran. He completed his Pediatric residency and nephrology fellowship at New Jersey Medical School and Medical University of South Carolina. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the International Pediatric Nephrology Association. He has presented several abstracts and published papers in various medical journals. He was honored twice with the Instructor of the Year at St. John Hospital and named one of the area's "Top Docs" by Hour Detroit magazine. He has special expertise in urinary tract infections, nephrotic syndrome, hypertension, proteinuria and hematuria. Dr. Saberi was named by his peers as one of the area's top pediatric nephrologists in Hour Detroit magazine's 2005 and 2008 "Top Docs" rankings.


Paula Schreck, MD
Dr. Schreck speciializes in pediatrics. Her primary care includes newborns through 21 years olds and she+ is the medical director for breast feeding support services and St. John Health outpatient breast feeding clinic.


David Transue, MD
Dr. Transue is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology and is the Section Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, Michigan. His postgraduate training included a rotating internship at St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo, Ohio; Pediatric residency at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan; and Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association and The Endocinre Society. He has been a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Advisory Council to the Michigan Department of Health Newborn Screening Program. In 2004,2005 and 2008 Dr. Transue was recognized as a top pediatric endocrinologist by Hour magazine in its "Top Doc" survey.
