Because We Care: A Guide for People Who Care - Developed by the Administration on Aging of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, this site provides state contacts for suport programs, information brochures, fact sheets, state reports, and support groups.
BenefitsCheckUp - A service of The National Council on the Aging which helps older adults find benefits for which they are eligible. Information provided includes prgram descriptions, contact information, and instructions for successful application.
Eldercare Locator - Another source from the Administration on Aging, this site connects older Americans and their caregivers to sources of information on senior services. The service links those who need assistance with state and local area agencies on aging and community-based organizations that serve older adults and their caregivers.
Family Caregiving - This site "is designed to provide caregivers with the basic tools, skills and information they need to protect their own physical and mental health while they provide high quality care for their loved one." Some of the topics covered on the site include care-giving skills, taking care of yourself as a caregiver, "navigating the health care maze," and finding help. From the National Family Caregivers Association (NFCA) and the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC).
National Alliance for Caregiving - The Family Care Resource Connection section provides reviews and ratings of hundreds of books, videos, websites, magazines, fact sheets and other resources addressing the range of issues and questions faced by family caregivers.
NFCA National Family Caregives Association - this web site offers links to many resource, support and education for caregivers.
