Mario J.C. DeMeireles, M.D. Board Certified in Internal and Geriatric Medicine
Mario J.C. DeMeireles, MD, holds the position of medical director for Aging Services at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers. Dr. DeMeireles is a graduate of the Goa Medical College in Goa, India. He completed his internal medicine residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center; clinical and research fellowships in geriatric medicine at the University of Michigan; and received a masters degree in Health Services Administration and Policy from the University of Michigan School Public Health.
Dr. DeMeireles is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Geriatric Medicine.
He is a member of the American Geriatric Society, the Michigan State Medical Society and the American Medical Association. Dr. DeMeireles sees patients on Monday and Thursday.
Thomas Kaniowski, M.D.
Thomas J. Kaniowski, MD, specializes in internal medicine, the care of men and women from young adulthood through senior years. His focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of acute medical problems, management of long term medical conditions, as well as promoting good general health through screening, preventive care, diet, exercise, and other lifestyle improvements.
Dr. Kaniowski is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Providence Hospital.
Dr. Kaniowski's professional affiliations include the American Medical Association. Dr. Kaniowski is in the office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Manisha Garg, M.D. Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Manisha Garg, MD specializes in Internal Medicine, the care of men and women from late adolescence through senior years. Dr. Garg provides comprehensive medical care by diagnosing and treating acute medical problems, managing long-term illnesses and screening for preventable diseases through routine physical examinations.
Dr. Garg is a graduate of the Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer, India where she also completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She then completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers. Dr. Garg is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Garg’s professional affiliations include the American College of physicians and the American Medical Association. Dr. Garg has appointment hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and some Saturdays.
Office Details
Payment Policy: Payment is due at time of service, payment includes co-pays, and the self-responsible portion of the bill. We do accept MasterCard, Visa, Discovery, check or cash.
Cancellation: If it is necessary to cancel your appointment, we ask that you call us as soon as possible.
Insurance: When calling the office to schedule your appointment, be sure to confirm the physician accepts your insurance.

Do you perform X-rays in the office? Yes, we do provide on-site X-Ray service. However, we do not have on-site mammography, ultra-sound, CT or MRI services.
If I am sick today, can I be seen today? Yes, you may not be able to see your primary physician but you will be able to see one of the other physicians in the practice.
Do you perform laboratory tests? Yes, we draw blood and do perform basic tests, however most specimens are sent to a full laboratory service center.
Do you employ a Registered Nurse ("RN")? Yes, we have one RN, four medical assistants, one x-ray tech and four business assistants.
