Providence Cancer Institute Service Overview - Screening and Education

Screenings are held throughout the year, at little or no cost.  Screenings are provided for breast, skin, colorectal, and prostate cancer. 

Ongoing Education

With advances in cancer care happening at a rapid pace, all members of the Providence cancer team members receive ongoing professional education. Offerings include weekly Tumor Boards, weekly GYN Tumor Boards, a monthly physician lecture series and Oncology Journal Club, seminars sponsored by Providence’s Oncology Nursing Committee, and Providence’s annual Jaffar Conference, a day-long seminar presenting esteemed national speakers covering the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.  Frequent seminars are held to educate all Providence staff members about advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
