Yoga at Providence Hospital in Southfield

Yoga is a practice that has been passed down from teacher to teacher for over 5,000 years.  The practice is renowned for it’s healing and calming capabilities which can be experience after just an hour long session.

Students learn breathing techniques that help relax the mind and body, and different postures that develop strength and flexibility.  Not only do you get a great workout but you get all the benefits listed and more.  There are so many benefits to the practice of yoga, that if they could be obtained in a bottle at the pharmacy, everyone would be taking it! 

One important thing to know about yoga— is that anyone can do it.  Yoga is good for people of all ages, sizes, shapes and abilities.  Our experienced instructors provide individualized attention, offering modifications to poses and are able to work with any limitations or difficulties.
