Breastfeeding Assistance ProgramBreastfeeding your baby can be one of the most wondrous experiences for a new mother; it can also result in many health and emotional benefits for mother and baby alike. To help mothers prepare for breastfeeding, Providence offers the Breastfeeding Assistance Program in Southfield. Lactation consultants provide expectant mothers with basic breastfeeding information before the baby is born. After the birth, the consultants provide one-to-one instruction. And once mother and baby go home, the consultants are only a phone call away to answer questions and provide support and encouragement. This program is open to all mothers interested in breastfeeding, whether or not they delivered their babies at Providence. The phone number for the Breastfeeding Assistance Program is 1-248-849-2799. |
