Substance Abuse Program

Providence's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Substance Abuse is designed for adults and adolescents who are expected to be capable of managing their recovery in their normal environment. The IOP is an alternative to inpatient treatment, yet provides the intensity and structure needed in early recovery. It provides substance abuse and mental health counseling in a safe and supportive environment as the client works toward abstinence.

IOP clients learn in various ways how to recognize and stop their self-destructive behaviors. Individual counseling, educational sessions, and interactive counseling groups are led by fully credentialed, masters-degreed, addiction-credentialed therapists. IOP clients meet three times a week for three hours each session.

Interactive Substance Abuse Counseling Groups
