Interdisciplinary Team Approach

An interdisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, registered nurses, occupational and recreational therapists ensures individualized care for every inpatient client. Physical exam within 24 hours of admission. In addition to individual sessions with the attending psychiatrist, each client participates in group therapy and a rotation of complementary groups, which can include occupational therapy, recreational therapy, psycho educational groups, and community meetings.

Clients and their family members are invited to attend the team treatment planning conference and provide input into their treatment plans and goals.

Psychological and neuropsychological testing can be arranged if needed. Conjoint and family therapy can also be provided if appropriate. Clients with secondary chemical dependency problems receive separate chemical dependency therapy during a portion of each day.

All clients undergo comprehensive discharge planning. Admissions to the inpatient unit can be arranged through our 24 hour psychiatric assessment department, they can be reached at 248-849-3075.
