Every day, volunteers make a difference at Providence Hospital and Providence Park Hospital. Whether working directly with patients and family members or behind the scenes, our volunteers are dedicated to the high standards of care we strive to provide.
Many volunteer opportunities are available including working in the gift shop, escorting patients, assisting at the information desks, working in the Emergency department and on patient care units, helping with clerical duties and more.
Our Lady of Providence League Auxiliary
There are also many opportunities to become involved with the volunteer auxiliaries, Our Lady of Providence League (OLPL) or Providence Park League (PPL) which raise funds for the benefit of the hospitals. The largest means of fundraising are the Gift Shops and gift cart. In addition, OLPL and PPL-sponsored events such as book sales, jewelry sales, nut sales and candy sales also raise funds for patient services.
PPL is currently well on its way to fulfilling its $1.5 million pledge to benefit the Providence Park Fitness Trail. In the past, OLPL has contributed funds for the Heart Institute, Assarian Cancer Center and to support the purchase of neuro-endovascular equipment.
