JOHN HOSPITAL & RESIDENCY PROGRAMSSt. John Hospital and Medical Center is an 804-bed community hospital, which serves the Eastern Metropolitan Detroit area. St. John Hospital and Medical Center has fully approved residency programs in the Departments of: Each student is assigned to a preceptor, who serves as an advisor. Students attend all major meetings conducted by the department in which they are rotating. They also attend hospital-wide conferences such as CPC, Hospital Grand Rounds, Basic Science Lectures, Tumor Conferences, Scan Reviews, Oncology and Pathology Conferences. HOW TO APPLY FOR ROTATIONS:For all students from affiliated and/or U.S. schools please fill out the rotation request form and/or contact Medical Education to set up a rotation. Contact:
Students from any other International or Caribbean Medical School, (non-affiliated/non-LCME) wishing to rotate in the Detroit area, please go to Wayne State University Guest Student Applications link. You may download the application. Note from WSU: There are no student electives available June-August. Only three months maximum may be taken. Rotations must run from the 1st of the month until the end of the month. Senior Year Rotations
