Charles McCloskey, MD FAAFP
Dr. McCloskey has served as the co-director of the family medicine program at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Center, for the past eleven years.  During his tenure, over forty residents have graduated from the family medicine program and have maintained a 100% first time pass rate on the board examination.

Dr. McCloskey attended medical school at the University of Santiago in the Dominican Republic.  He completed his residency training in family medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri and Deaconess Hospital affiliated with Saint Louis University.  He completed a fellowship in faculty development at Michigan State University and serves as assistant clinical professor for Michigan State Univerisity and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. McCloskey is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at St. John Oakland Hospital and is a  member of the intern-resident advisory committee.  He serves on the infection control and health partners utilization improvement committees.  He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. McCloskey received the Medical Education Leadership Award for his dedication to the education of students and residents at St. John Oakland Hospital in 2003.  He was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award from Statewide Campus System, Michigan State University.  In 2004, Kansas City University presented Dr. McCloskey with the Outstanding Preceptor Award.  He received the Michael Opipari, D.O. Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the MSU Statewide Campus Systems in 2007.

Saroj Misra, DO
Dr. Misra is the program director for the St. John Macomb-Oakland, Oakland Center, Family Medicine Residency.  He attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO.  He completed his internship at Detroit Riverview Hospital and his residency in family medicine at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Center.

Dr. Misra is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Practice, the American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners, the Statewide Campus System, and the Michigan Osteopathic Association. 

Dr. Misra has a special interest in dyslipidemia and osteopathic manipulative medicine.  He is the Chairman of the Osteopathic  Methods and Concepts Committee.  Dr. Misra is a sought after speaker on lipid disorders, osteopathic manipulative medicine and has a passion for teaching.

Dr. Misra received the Clinical Educator of the Year Award for his dedication to the education of students and residents at St. John Oakland Hospital in 2005-2006. 

Jason Soffa, DO
Dr. Soffa is an attending physician at the St. John Macomb-Oakland, Oakland Center, Family Medicine Residency.  He attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, MI.  He completed his internship and residency in family medicine at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Center.

Dr Soffa is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Practice, the American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners, and the Michigan Osteopathic Association.  He serves on the Osteopathic Methods and Concepts Committee.  He also served as St. John Macomb-Oakland, Oakland Center Chief Family Medicine Resident in 2005.

Dr. Soffa received the Medicine Resident of the year award in 2005. 

Helene Greenwald, PhD.
Dr. Greenwald joined the Oakland Primary Care faculty in September of 2004 as the program's consultative psychologist.  She specializes in childhood disorders, school related problems, and an array of mental health issues.  Over the past ten years, Dr. Greenwald's work experiences include working in the foster care system, interning at Detroit Institute for Children, clinical work in Dearborn and Plymouth, and working in the school district.  She received her doctoral degree from Wayne State University in May of 2004.
