Dr. Rizk attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida. He completed his residency in general surgery at Michigan State University and Botsford General Hospital. His endovascular fellowship was completed at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD and his peripheral vascular surgery fellowship was completed at Michigan State University and Botsford General Hospital. Dr. Rizk is board certified.
Dr. Rizk's interest includes endovascular surgical approaches and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Rizk is an assistant clinical professor of surgery at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He serves patients with peripheral vascular disease.
Dr. Rizk received a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Florida and a doctor of osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He performed a general surgery residency and a peripheral vascular surgery fellowship at Botsford General Hospital. He also performed an endovascular fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Rizk's research interests include peripheral vascular disease and minimally invasive surgical techniques, carotid artery stenting, renal function post renal artery angioplasty, antiplatelet therapy and stent patency, drug coated stent in peripheral vascular disease, brachytherapy and patency of dialysis grafts.
In 2004, Dr. Rizk was recognized as one of the area's most respected vascular surgeons in Hour Detroit magazine's "Top Docs" listing.
