Dr. LaLonde is a cardiologist specializing in clinical, invasive and interventional cardiology. He currently serves as division chief of cardiovascular diseases at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. Dr. LaLonde has completed special training to be certified in several interventional procedures such as: directional coronary atherectomy; transluminal extraction coronary atherectomy; coronary stent placement; rotational atherectomy and rheolytic thrombectomy.
As a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Wayne State University, Dr. LaLonde teaches medical students and residents in cardiology and invasive/interventional cardiology. A widely-published author in the medical literature, Dr. LaLonde also has participated in more than 15 sponsored clinical research trials. Dr. LaLonde has been recognized as a Top Doc each year for the last 12 years in Hour Detroit magazine's annual survey.
