Pink and Blue
United for a Cure

Facts about Breast Cancer
Most people are not aware that breast cancer is a disease that affects both women and men; hence our slogan: “Don’t just think pink, think blue.”
While breast cancer still remains the most common cancer among women in the United States, approximately 1900 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Even more alarming, the survival rate for men with this devastating disease is only three percent due to late diagnosis.
5K Breast Cancer Walk
Team Angels is hosting their 1st Annual Pink and Blue United for a Cure 5K walk. The event begins and ends at Stony Creek Metro Park (Eastwood Beach) on June 13, 2009. All are encouraged to participate in this community event. So get ready to get those bodies moving for a good cause. To learn more about the Team Angels Breast Cancer Foundation, visit teamangelsfoundation.org.
Net proceeds from the event will benefit breast cancer patients in our community who come for healing at the Van Elslander Cancer Center at St. John Hospital and Medical Center.
